>Lance Cpl. Joshua M. Bernard, 21, of New Portland, Maine, died Aug. 14 while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to
2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division. You may recall that the photograph that was taken then published by the Assoc.Press showed the L.Cpl. dying while his fellow Marines tried bravely to continue fighting while also trying to get their friend to medical aid. Before that picture ran,the parents of that young L.cpl Bernard had asked the A.P.to please NOT run said photo, for OBVIOUS reasons. This was their child.NOT a POSTER child for war.The photo ran.I dont know what happenned next .all I do know is that Ive seen the photo on more than one occassion. Two instances in particular.
After explaining to the webmaster in each case, that runs the sites I saw the the photo on, The people that ran the photo and the photo itself are now off those web sites.
I admit I was shocked that they deleted it so fast.I mean,I could have been anyone.maybe they googled the info? i dunno.Im just thankfully they did take me seriously.cause quite honestly, the way things are going in the US?my friend is not renlisting, and is discovering the way most others did years b4 him, that yer nothin but cannon fodder in the end to the almighty usa.I dont expect this to be published, after all its not propaganda to keep the country motivated.
