Whether you’re a Marine with a story to tell, a patriot with something on your chest, or just someone who walks with respect for the duty and sacrifice of others, we’re glad you’re here.
Here’s how to register and submit your voice on THE SUCK LIFE.
Step 1: Register as a Contributor
Before you can post, you’ll need to create an account.
Head to the registration page:
https://thesucklife.com/wp-login.php?action=register
Choose a username and enter your email address.
Check your inbox, you’ll get a confirmation email with a link to set your password.
Once your account is active, log in at https://thesucklife.com/wp-login.php
Be sure to fill in the Bio section of your profile page, as your bio will display under each of your posts.
Add a profile pic as well. If you need help, let me know.
️Note: All accounts are reviewed manually to prevent spam and ensure quality. If you don’t get access right away, hang tight, I’ll get to you.
Step 2: Submit a Post for Review
Once you’re logged in:
From the dashboard, go to Posts > Add New.
Give your piece a title and start writing in the editor.
Format your post if needed. Put some time into it. Keep it clean and easy to read.
When you’re ready, hit “Submit for Review” (instead of “Publish”).
Your post will be reviewed before it goes live. We don’t censor truth — just make sure it’s respectful, relevant, and readable.
Need a Hand Polishing Your Post? If you’d rather just draft your thoughts and let the admin refine them into a solid piece, that’s an option too. Submit your rough draft, and I’ll help clean it up while keeping your voice intact. Just add a note in your submission that you’d like editorial assistance.
Content Structure Recommendations
Length: Aim for 500-1500 words for most posts. Quality matters more than quantity.
Formatting: Break up your text with paragraphs for readability (no walls of text).
Headings: Use headings (H2, H3) to organize longer posts into sections.
Lists: Use bullet points or numbered lists when appropriate.
Opening: Start strong – grab attention with a compelling first paragraph.
Closing: End with purpose – a takeaway, call to action, or thought-provoking question.
Adding Images and Media
Providing Images: If you have relevant images, you can email them to [admin@thesucklife.com] along with your post title.
Preferred formats: JPG, PNG, or GIF (under 2MB recommended)
Videos: You can include YouTube or Vimeo links in your post text, and they’ll be embedded during review.
Attribution: Include photo credits for images that aren’t yours.
Content warning: For posts containing sensitive content, please add a content notice at the beginning.
Suggesting Categories and Tags
In your submission, you can suggest 1-2 categories for your post.
You can also suggest 3-5 relevant tags that help readers find your content.
Common categories include: Deployment Stories, Training, Corps Culture, Veteran Life, Tributes
Admin will apply the final categories and tags during review.
What Kind of Posts Can I Submit?
✔️ Subjects related to Marine Corps preferred, but other branches or First Responders OK
✔️ Personal stories: the raw, the real, the humorous, the remembered
✔️ Reflections on service, sacrifice, and brotherhood
✔️ Commentary tied to Marine Corps life, values, and culture
✔️ Tributes to those who served, bled, or gave it all
Not sure if it fits? Send it anyway. I’ll take a look.
What’s Not Allowed?
❌ No politics – red or blue, keep it off the field
❌ No hate speech, conspiracy theories, or divisive rants
❌ No sales pitches, clickbait, or AI-written junk
❌ No disrespect toward fellow vets, service members, or their families
This space is for honor, history, and healing, not arguing.

I think my email has been hacked. I have not had any traffic for two days: no adds or anything.
I have a saved draft of a proposal for your review.
This option “From the dashboard, go to Posts > Add New” does not appear on my dashboard.
