I was with H&MS-16 , HMM361 and Zulu co…3-1968 to 3-1969 played guitar with a group of marines call the “Extremes”..on our off hours ..played at several places on base ..at Army post locations,, naval hospital across the road, on the USS Enterprise ..I forgot many names and places during my stint in the corps..but it was an experience of a life time not too many people will ever live through…I’d do it all over again with all my bros’s I met in the corps…best friends I ever had…

I was stationed at the Marble Mountain Air Facility, MAG-16, H&MS-16, Avionics Shop, from January, 1968, to December, 1969. I was on my second extension when I left Da Nang. I enjoyed your photos but they were taken after I had left. We still had matting in the parking areas for the helicopters and no concrete covers. Brings back a lot of memories.

>Wow, I know a few men who were involved in this war. A close friend of the family was in the first wave. I cannot explain how much I appreciate your sacrifices. My fiance and brother are marines and are both deploying this year. So I feel a sense of closeness to your blog…
